The Larson Brothers' Legacy  by Robert Carl Hartman

This nicely done softcover work has 114 pages packed full of enjoyable informative reading.  This is the fifth book I have written regarding the Larson Brothers of Chicago's Maurer & Co.  It reveals life in Sweden, their travel to America, the apprenticeships in Chicago with Edwin Cubley, and the move to Robert Maurer's shop.  The book features photos of newly found guitars, prominent players of Larson products, and letters that add to the legacy of today's players, each with their own story.  There is a chapter revealing new photos of instruments made before 1900.  The last chapter lists the known Larson catalogs with my latest list of serial numbers for Maurer, Prairie State, Euphonon, W.J. Dyer and Bro., and Wm. C. Stahl                                       Price per copy:  $27.50, U.S. Shipping FREE
